A primary school residential like no other

Residential trips for primary schools are custom designed for your school so that they dovetail with your school syllabus and your individual school environmental policy. Expect the best course design and operational delivery. Everything is taken care of, including activities, food and accommodation. As a teacher or school lead, you can rest assured that everything is covered.

Activities

During the day, young adventurers will engage in a variety of exciting activities. They might try their hand at fire building and wild cooking, animal tracking and plant identification or archery and scavenger hunting. As the sun sets, imagine stories shared over hot chocolate and marshmallows around the campfire before cosying up in shared tents and a memorable night under canvas.

Secondary school residential trips at Canvas Camps are tailored to your required learning outcomes and school environmental targets and the team specialise in crafting custom programmes tailored to your school syllabus. From inception to execution, we handle every aspect, including activities that transcend the classroom and immerse students in the wonders of the great outdoors and environmental sustainability.

Activities

Students staying at Canvas Camps embark on a journey of discovery, growth and achievement. They acquire new skills and make unforgettable memories. On our Secondary school residential trips, students will participate in activities such as wild swimming, shelter building, tree climbing and cooking on the open fire. In the evening they will have a full exciting evening entertainment programme.

Projects

Canvas Camps combine fun and learning and the Canvas Camps team will provide pre-arrival project work to help students observe, measure and discover how they can contribute to environmental conservation during their stay.

Meals are prepared by the in-house catering team and all dietary needs can be accommodated. Rest assured that we source ingredients locally whenever we can, cutting down on food transportation and helping local growers.

Comfortable accommodation under canvas

At Canvas Camps students experience simple living and stay in shared single-sex tents on camping beds. Teachers and group leaders have separate dedicated sleeping quarters close by, with single beds in shared tents. There are indoor showers and toilets located within easy reach of the Canvas Camp meadow.

Pre trip planning

Prior to a residential camp, teachers travelling with and accompanying the group will have a call with the Canvas Camp team to ensure they have everything they need and are fully prepared for the trip.

Information for students will be provided in advance, including a full kit list and a list of items to be left at home for a truly immersive experience.
