At Canvas Camps we understand just how important health and safety on a school trip is for teachers, parents and students alike.
While learning, development and fun are our top priorities, the safety of your trip is of paramount importance to us. We plan and go beyond industry-leading safety standards with comprehensive risk management from an experienced team, which means we are confident that all those entering immersive areas are safe as is reasonably practicable.
It goes without saying that there are still risks, but our trained and experienced staff will educate and help all that come to our areas understand and evaluate hazards, build a healthier attitude to challenges and take this forward into everyday life.
We provide all schools with our comprehensive risk management paperwork (including risk assessments, egress information, policies and procedures) and work with the school’s trip coordinator to make sure that they have everything they need.

Team training & qualifications
We work with the most qualified and skilled outdoor and education professionals, and each undertakes a rigorous induction and training programme complemented by frequent observations, personal feedback, reviews and assessments.
All our staff bring a wealth of qualifications to ensure they can lead students on incredible adventures. We also enhance their expertise by providing staff with additional National Governing Body qualifications.
Safe recruitment
All staff involved in our recruitment process undergo comprehensive training in Safer Recruitment and hold a Safer Recruitment in Education Certificate. We prioritise clarity in our job advertisements, ensuring that safeguarding requirements for staff are explicitly outlined.
